About BillCountr

What you need to know

Clear details, without the jargon.

01 · Purpose

Built around the shop day

BillCountr starts with the work that repeats every day: open the counter, find the item, make the bill, update stock, record udhaar, collect payment and understand the day.

  • Fewer steps during customer-facing work
  • Retailer-friendly words instead of accounting jargon
  • Connected outcomes instead of repeated entry
  • Useful workflows even with unstable internet

02 · Who it serves

Made for practical Indian retail

The product is aimed at shops where speed, clear stock and customer credit matter more than enterprise process diagrams.

  • Kirana and general stores
  • Pharmacies and electronics shops
  • Hardware and specialty retail
  • Wholesalers and local distributors

03 · Mobile

The phone is the primary retail surface

Android is prioritized for counter billing, product lookup, customer dues, offline work and print or share flows because it is the device closest to everyday shop activity.

04 · Web

The web is the owner’s desk

The web dashboard supports administration, reports, settings, staff, imports, exports, audit review and browser billing without turning into an ERP-style interface.

05 · Principle

Simple does not mean fragile

Exact integer-paise calculations, organization isolation, invoice snapshots, immutable audit history and deterministic sync sit behind screens that remain understandable to non-technical users.

06 · Boundary

Deliberately not everything

BillCountr is not a generic ERP, ecommerce product, accounting-heavy suite or payment gateway. New capabilities must strengthen the retail operating workflow rather than dilute it.

Common questions

Quick answers.

Why is BillCountr offline-first?

Because billing, stock lookup, ledger work and invoice printing cannot depend on reliable internet in a working shop.

Why use both mobile and web?

The phone is better for fast counter and on-the-move work. The larger web surface is better for reports, settings, staff administration, imports and exports.

Will BillCountr become a full accounting ERP?

That is not the current product direction. BillCountr stores the business facts needed for retail operations while keeping accounting-heavy complexity outside the daily shop experience.
